Bayer CropScience and Olah Inc. sign unique licensing agreement on cotton brands FiberMax and Stoneville
Olah Inc. and Bayer CropScience recently signed a new licensing agreement revolutionizing the marketing of cotton to consumers around the world. Under the terms of the licensing agreement, Olah Inc. will have the exclusive use of the Bayer CropScience flagship cotton brand names FiberMax® and Stoneville® for apparel and home furnishings. Under this ten-year agreement, Olah Inc. has been granted an exclusive license to utilize the two brand names for finished goods in a move that will create a unique connection between cotton producers, spinners, manufactures and downstream consumers.
As a result of this agreement, for the first time, consumers will be able to purchase cotton garments or homegoods labeled as manufactured with FiberMax or Stoneville cotton. Marketing efforts will focus on the consumer benefits of both brands, and will identify the unique attributes that consumers can expect from FiberMax or Stoneville products. FiberMax and Stoneville goods will also be identified with cotton growers in different growing areas, answering the consumer’s growing desire for information about the origin and story behind the products they buy.
